My husband and I got the new Stanley Tri-Pod flashlights for Christmas. We love them! They not only stand up using the tri-pod, but the flashlight head tilts. I've already used it quite a bit in the house, (looking in the corner cabinets, behind the tv, etc.).

Our camping friends also gave us a set of bpa-free plastic bowls and plates to replace our old school style enamel dishes, which were bulky and heavy. I love the new light weight plates and bowls. We used to use paper plates, plastic utensils and cups, but figured going back to dishes is greener and more in line with camping.

I won a Ther-a-rest 3/4 length ultra lite pad (15-16 oz?) on ebay for $8.95 including shipping, it arrived 2 days before Christmas, and no, it doesn't leak either

All the gifts sound cool. Jon, sounds like you go backpacking. Lots of active backpackers in the California group.
