If anyone is interested at all in helping find a lost llama in the Mt. Hood Wilderness in Oregon please contact me asap here on campers index. I'll be checking back frequently today and tomorrow for any enthusiasts. I'll put you into contact with our friend who will be up near Barlow Pass trail this weekend and needs all the help he can get for a search party. Llamas make excellent pack animals, better than horses, and this one was exceptional. She has packs on her with a lot of gear. She will do fine food wise for llamas forage on just about anything. He's concerned that she may get herself stuck in the dense forest because of the packs. Most other animals want nothing to do with llamas and are afraid of them unless they think that the llama is not a threat. He is hoping he can find her in good shape after a week being on her own. He does have a website that I can share for those who are interested in knowing exactly what happened, where she is at, where he will be camped, and a contact number in case any want to join him in his search. He will provide food and beverages. Beautiful country, free food and drink, I'd say it sounds like a pretty good weekend!
