We are back from latest trip. It was great. We actually had time to stay more than one nite. We stayed at the Kalaloch campground again. Site was tiny but it was secluded & ours.

The campground was full so thankfully we had reservations. It was a fee free week-end for Dad's day. A lot of RV's & tent camping, but for the most part the other campers were nice & considerate.

We did make it up to Ruby Beach which was beautiful. We were up in Forks by noon at JT's Sweet Stuff for coffee, fudge & use of their Wi Fi to check up on teen-age son via email. Then back "home" to enjoy our time.

We didn't make it up to La Push for exploration as planned, as we decided to just be this time around. Melissa & I relaxed and enjoyed the sunset both nites. It was nice to just sit for a change instead of going, going, going...which we do in our everyday life.

We didn't get to see Bob the Blue Jay this time around but we did have Peter Rabitt visit us every morning for breakfast.

Can't wait for our July trip. Not sure where we are going to explore this time but it will be too long of a wait for sure...

Great recap of your camping trip! I love hearing about others' camping trips... And I completely understand about sometimes just sitting in camp and relaxing, totally absorbing the sights and sounds of nature. Actually, a lot of times it's quieter in the late morning/early afternoon in camp because all the others are off "going, going, going"!
