We just enjoyed 9 days at Jessie Honeyman State Park Florence Oregon. A large and beautiful campgrounds well maintained and in a beautiful setting of large trees, and the DUNES with the ocean just minutes away.
Located right on Hwy 101. There is so much to do there for all ages...including a lake for canoeing, rent a paddle boat...or fish or take a ride on the dunes in a big tour buggy or if you are brave at heart..a rail ride. The kids love the Dunes...but the campgrounds is large and just a very relaxing place to camp. The campground also offers evening entertainment in the group area and kids crafts or learning badges in the Nature Tent.
We have been going and meeting up with our friends and family there for many, many years now.
I recommend it to you if you are looking for someplace new and fun to venture to.
Also the cute riverfront town of Florence is a fun outing and close for shopping for groceries or the arts.
The only problem is it books so far in advance and is alway full during summer months.,,but worth planning ahead for!
