We just spent eight days back at Lake Wenatchee as our plan B, since plan A became a big disappointment. However, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and became more familiar with the area, especially the Glacier Peak Wilderness. Thunderstorms and rain came almost every afternoon, but for the most part the weather was decent. We hiked 27 miles over a three day period gaining 500-700 feet elevations per mile up to 5200 feet in four to six miles, depending on the hike. The White River Trail was the easiest hike we did, five miles and very little incline, but a loop may be taken if desired up to Steven's Pass and back around to the Indian Creek Trail. Each day required a separate journal entry, and over 20 hours of video footage and over 250 photos requires significant editing in format to be interesting to viewers, but not boring. Check out the link above to visit my blog site for each day's entry, videos, and photos slideshows of some of the most beautiful country we've seen in Washington. Day one posted today, so check back frequently for updates. Feel free to wander through the various pages and leave comments if so desired. Wish I could post them all here, but the files are too large. Enjoy.
