Clarence, I grew up near Quanah, TX. I go to the Wichita Mtns. often, there is so much to explore, I always see something new whenever I go. Assata, check your state and federal parks, they are a great place to start!

There is a wonderulf place in southwest Oklahoma...The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. It is federal land with loads of wildlife and excellent camping facilities. We go there at least twice a year.

If you have never camped in nearby National Parks, by all means start there. State Parks are great, too. Camping in Yosemite and Sequoia are two must-dos at least once in your life. How much camping have you done?

Hmmm... I camp in socal. In the California group I know there were some people that wanted to camp but our First Annual Campout in socal was too far for them. You might try mentioning that you want to camp in the California group, too.
