Sandra said… Welcome to Camper-Share 2012! You might want to start by checking out the Group page for camping-related groups and topics you might be interested in. Joining a few groups is a great way to meet other campers and to get started on Camper-Share. Then participate! Groups are the best places to ask questions and share your knowledge about camping.
Also, there are Videos to watch (camping tips & trips, fun stuff to do!), Blogs to read (how-to, entertaining, opinions), Photos to look at (camping trips, campgrounds, nature’s beauty), and new friends to meet. If you have photos (or videos) of camping, please share them with us - I'd love to see photos of your camping adventures!
PS - If you have a photo of camping or of yourself that you could use as your profile photo, please upload that, too, so we can tell you from the rest of the campers!
Again, welcome! :)
Sandra said… I see I misread your post. Cumbria to Northumberland is where you will be going in Sept./Oct. Doh!
Where are some of your favorite places to camp? We love Yosemite and there are a few places on the Northern California coast we like to go. As a matter of fact, we'll be going to Yosemite twice this year. I'm very happy about that! I've been camping outside of California when I was a child, but don't remember many of the details. I'll be going back to Yellowstone with my family next year. Really looking forward to that trip!
I think you'll meet a lot of people with the same ideals. Two I can think of off the top of my head are Sandra Essary and Eric W. Heauser. This site is very environmentally friendly and the people are great! I think you'll really enjoy it. Check out the groups, there are a lot of them and I'm sure you'll find at least a few that you will be interested in, write blogs, post videos and we always love to see photos!
I'm unfamiliar with "Celtic ideals" but I do agree that we are mere stewards of this planet and we must care and preserve it for future generations.
