Looking forward for the 1st camping of 2012. The plans are to go back to Lake Tawakoni State Park in Texas.

Have you ever checked out Arkansas for camping? We went there in August and was sooooo impressed by there state parks. It isn't that far from the Dallas area. We stated at Mt. Nebo SP and the campground was amazing. Right on top of the mountain with a great view. There is also Mt. Magazine, where you can hike (walk) to the highest point in Arkansas. Pretty cool. We took in the craters of diamonds SP where you can dig for diamonds. It was okay, but really muddy. It actually was a really great trip, except that my kids got sick the 2nd day we were there. Go figure. They still liked it though.;)
