There were several beaches that had sea turtles. The one in the picture was near Kona. It's a marine sanctuary and an excellent place to go snorkeling. The other two places were on the Hilo side. One of them was a sea turtle research station.…

Just curious...where on the island were you? Do you remember the beach? Were you on a tour? I just think it's incredible that you had sea turtles swimming all around you. I've heard of people swimming with dolphins, but never sea turtles.
Can't wait for Thanksgiving weekend...Going backpacking up San Jacinto!
