"I agree with Kathy's comment! My pet peeve...those who spend their camping time in front of a TV in the rig. Why not stay home? Years ago, when camping with the kids, the rule was, NO Electronics! We still enforce that now when camping with the…"
"This is a picture of our baby Havanese. She was less than 2 pounds in the pic. She is now over 6 pounds and will only get about 10 pounds. Does look like a baby golden though. Her name is Peaches and she's a fun dog."
"Interesting! And, DiscoveryChannel Addict that I am...never heard of this. Thanks for enlightening me and putting my mind at ease about those sweet little lambs. (and now my opinion of Alaskans has changed from wussy little sheep killers to…"
"Ha! Funny.....Dall Sheep. They reside at very high altitudes on the sides of mountains here in Alaska. Most sheep hunters have to hike in miles and then up miles of terrain to get to any legal size sheep to hunt. The meat is actually very good to…"
"I know this has nothing to do with the discussion, but what the heck is a "sheep hunter"? I mean, how hard can that be?....wiley, deceitful creatures that they are. Maybe the challenge is in getting past the shepherd?"

"HOT camping weekend at Hard Labor Creek! Anybody know if the parks in North Ga. are measurably cooler in the summer? Meanwhile, my hubby is determined to rig an a/c unit onto this OLD tent trailer!"

Ha! Funny.....Dall Sheep. They reside at very high altitudes on the sides of mountains here in Alaska. Most sheep hunters have to hike in miles and then up miles of terrain to get to any legal size sheep to hunt. The meat is actually very good to eat. Our family does not hunt sheep but those people who do have to travel very light because once you actually take a sheep, you have to haul everything out, normally in one trip. Sheep country is also usually grizzly country so if you don't get everything in one trip, what you leave behind might not be there when you return!
