Early Spring BWCA trip
Trip to BWCA in early Spring 2003, still had thin ice in some of the bays and frozen portages....woke up to a light snow one morning.

BWCA Double Pack
"Never heard of this kind of carry. That's what I love about this site, you learn something nearly every day here. I guess the person carrying the load has to have pretty strong legs."

"Yes, one pack on the front and one on the back. It actually feels pretty good (easy on the back if both packs weigh about the same). The only disadvantage is that you have limited visibility of the area around your feet."
