I don't know if you are interested in just state parks, but we like Cleburne State park, and Mineral Wells State Park. As far as secluded, I don't really know of a place you can go that is very far from others - they seem to make an effort…

I don't know if you are interested in just state parks, but we like Cleburne State park, and Mineral Wells State Park. As far as secluded, I don't really know of a place you can go that is very far from others - they seem to make an effort to put as many campsites as they can in an area. One of the things that we did that was kinda fun was hike in the Guadalupes Mountains. The area I'm talking about is just wouth of Carlsbad in Texas. There is a neat hike trail going up El Capitan and up there somewhere is what they call "the bowl". There I know they allow overnights - might check that one out......
I just joined, just like you! Apparently we are the site's first few members. I added an application -- "Status" -- so that we can all write general short messages to the group, kind of like Twitter.
If you want to add it too, look under "Add Applications" on your "My Page" right under your photo, then add the application "Status" (should be on the second page). Let me know if you add anything else. I'd like to know the group-type applications others add.
Some of us are also adding the ParaChat app so we can talk in real time. It's on page 6 of the applications.
Be sure to check out the groups by state and join any that interest you.
