2 day camping trips

We are looking for 2 day camping trips away from Las Vegas in any directions. We have enjoyed places like Sedona, AZ as well as Flagstaff, AZ. We've gone to Mammoth Lakes, CA as well as Desert Hot Springs, CA (where our day trip began with several hours of relaxing in the hot springs at a beautiful daytime spa.
I'm looking forward to reading anything from campers here on this site. Thank you so much for any trips you may be able to suggest.

Laurene said… Thank you, Maggie! There were numerous peacocks roaming around the park. I would have to say at least 5 males and 5 females. They were very gentle, not like geese (I've had geese come at me), they'd come right up to our campsite and just hang out. I took that photo with my phone, so I couldn't capture the iridescence in their feathers...it was beautiful. Also, in case you didn't notice, we really enjoy Yosemite. When we were there last April, it snowed 2 out of 3 days and the last 4 days it got as warm as 70 degrees during the day. It was very nice.
