Hi Linda, I was looking through your pictures and though I've been to NY, I've never camped there, your pictures make me regret not taking advantage of the time I had to enjoy all the beauty New York has to offer. I hope I have another opportunity in the future. Thanks for sharing!
Weird how there is no way to comment on individual photos. So good to see your 80-something parents still willing to get out & about in the wild! Did they stay overnight?
My 80-something parents for some strange, I-never-will-understand-why reason decided to stay with me overnight during a visit to my campsite in a campground on the California coast. I wasn't really prepared for them but tried to make them as comfy as possible.
They didn't sleep all that well - especially dad, who had to sleep on one of those queen sized air mattress-beds - he had a hard time getting up from there. I gave my mom my cot and air mattress, so she slept better. Meanwhile, I passed a fitful night in the back of my Jeep!
But we had good food, a campfire, and sat the next day in comfortable camping chairs on the sand, watching and listening to the surf. That was the highlight and will always stay fondly in my memories of them.
My dad's 85 and we were supposed to take him on a trip in May, but it got cancelled so hopefully we'll be able to make it up to him this summer. (We just got a 5th-wheel with some extra space.)

Couldn't comment on your photo, but your parents look great! They do not look like they are in their 80's.
