The newer meals are much better than they were when they first came out. We actually missed the "C" rats during the first generation of MRE's. Plus the initial company had a packaging problem that caused bochulism. Now-a-days, all the…
Food is always important. And having the right energy to accomplish the hikes and activities is vital. Besides, nothing is better than a meal cooked over fire. Evan God asked for the sweet smell from burnt offerings. Jerky is mandatory on all my…
When I was a youth, I seems we went camping at least once per month. Dad had a heavy canvas wall tent. It was my job to run the ridge pole and far support pole into the tent so that the tent could be raised. I still remember the smell of the canvas. Ah, I didn't catch that it was cast. That's enough for me not to buy it. (probably wouldn'g have anyway) I figured you would have some good input. Thanks!
Jerry, would you take a look at this sort of bushman multi tool and tell me what you think? Thanks. http://www.holeboutdoors.com/Camp_Tools_Details.htm
I just joined, just like you! Apparently we are the site's first few members. I added an application "Status" so that we can write general short messages to the group, kind of like Twitter.
If you want to add it too, look under "Add Applications" on your "My Page" right under your photo, then add the application "Status" (should be on the second page). Let me know if you add anything else. I'd like to know the group-type applications others add.
You can start a blog on your "My Page", as you know, just saying some things about where you have camped, camping tips, or whatever. It can be as casual or as formal as you want. It just totally depends on what you want to contribute to the group. Everyone has something the others would like to hear about, 'cause we all love camping!
Other than that, check out the groups by state and join any that interest you.
What is it you would like out of this website, just out of curiousity?
