October is fantastic for the weather. We didn't camp in Mt Charleston although we knew people who liked it. It seems there was an issue up there for campfires. I need that for my camping experience.

Kathy, try Cave Lake in Ely. We lived in Las Vegas for 6 years and it was a fav of ours. They have a wonderful clean campground in a beautiful setting...hot shower, clean restrooms and great fishing. South of Ely, can't remember exacty how far,…

The Navy's "Blue Angels" call Pensacola, Florida home. Below you'll find their schedule for 2008. Every July the premiere flight demonstration team performs their breathtaking maneuvers over Pensacola Beach and wind down the season with a homecoming performance onboard N.A.S. Pensacola in November.

I am curious, I live way up in Seattle - the Blue Angels perform here each July/August for the hydro plane races, anyway, I've never heard of boiled green peanuts. - I'll stay in touch and see what time is best for you guys also. My other daughter will be down the 18th and not sure what kind of plans she has in mind. I want to see as much of the area as possible and find some new camping areas.

We had hoped to make it out that way on the 11 th. However my 13 year old daughter flys back to Cleveland that day. We will have to try to watch the Blue Angles another time. My son and I will be heading out that way to check out the area soon. We want to see what it's like out there. He will be going to school at UWF. Hopefully we can meet you guys sometime when were there.
I'll post more camp fire recipes soon. I have to write them down first.

We are planning on a trip out that way soon. My son will attend University of West Florida and we need to take a trip out that way and take a look around.
And the fishing and camping is important of course. LOL
