Bader Memorial Park and Campground

I just wanted to post a review about this hidden gem! This is really a nice place quiet, treed and lots of wildlife. There are several ponds filled with fish a sandy beach, clean restrooms and basic hook ups along with fresh water close by and a dump station on the way out. We only stayed one night but it was nice and will be one to put down to come again. Friendly host as well. This is located outside Grand Island, Nebraska. …See More

Hi Chris,

I'm Laurene, I was reading your comment in the RV'ers group regarding your trip to California. I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and will be taking a trip with my in-laws to Colorado. We're helping my father-in-law check of some items from his "bucket list". If you don't mind I have a few questions. We'll be going to Boulder and Colorado Springs. I was thinking of taking 80-15-70, but that looks like there would be quite a bit of an elevation gain in a short distance. Would you recommend 80 across instead? (It looks like 80 goes around the mountains) What do you think of the KOA's you stayed at? I was thinking of going that route too since we have small children. (I've been to the Boomtown KOA). Can you recommend any campgrounds in or around Boulder or Colorado Springs (Calhan)? Any information you can give or recommendations you can make would be appreicated! Thank you!!

Laurene
