Hi Sandra, We've just reconnected with camperindex. I think i saw an email about yosemite. When is the next trip? Looking forward to seeing you again. Annalyn
hi everyone,
Although i am not from northern Cali, i can certainly drive up. i'm driving up this weekend in fact. So i might crash your campouts some time. Keep me in the loop.
Anna
This weekend is Mother's Day, then I'm having a yard sale the next weekend, then it's Memorial Day weekend. How are your weekends in June looking for a Fri-Sat night campout?
Bring the kids, for sure, if you can. maybe with them a regular campground is better for the sake of toilets if nothing else. But I'm up for anything that isn't tent-to-tent jam packed one on top of another. For that, I can go sit in a parking lot and open my windows lol.
The Upper Kern where I've gone has a number of primitive sites right by the river, no reservations needed, esp this time of year. There is a campground there - I can find out the name - but I think it's seasonal.
I know there are rafting places in Kernville where you can raft (of course) but I think they rent kayaks too, cause I saw a lot of them on the river. Well, not a lot, but some.
Are you a tenter, RVer, do you rough it or like a campground... what would you prefer?
The Tech Blanket from Thermarest is a great piece of gear when it comes to hammock camping. The system was meant for the ground but it works great in a hammo...
