I've never stayed at Field Springs State park, however hearing rumors about campground closures really makes me sad. As a group - Washington State Campers, we should all do our part to try and ensure that our State doesn't close…
There is a visitor's center @ Olympic that is accessed from the west side of the peninsula through the Hoh RainForest. There are a few places to camp (Bogechiel and another) that are w/in the park, but my family and I stayed at the Three Rivers…
We just love Mt Rainier's Ohanapecosh and La Wis Wis. We also spent sometime a couple of weeks ago in the Olympic Natl Forest on the Olympic peninsula, also in Wa state, it was beautiful-and no rain this time of year!!
My husband and I are planning a weekend at Field Springs in a couple of weeks. It's been several years since we last camped there; I appreciate hearing that it's still in good shape. We have a "new-to-us" Chalet trailer (one of…
We camped at Field Spring over Easter a couple years ago. There was no snow within 25 miles of the campground, but about 8 inches on the ground right there. It snowed another 14 inches on us that weekend. Very beautiful, but truly a bizarre…

Good hiking trails and beautiful scenery. One trail leads you to overlook Hells Canyon,…See More
