Planned a family get together to help celebrate the inlaws 60th anniversary. The whole trip up from Nevada, the weather was beautiful. Blue skies and sunshine. Yaaaayyyy!!!!!Went to bed last night(sleeping in the tent), and went to sleep listening to the sound of the raindrops hitting the top of the tent. Slept like a baby.Now it's still drizzling off. Here in Northern Nevada, we've finally got the kind of weather I dream about. Blue skies, sun shine, light winds ( not the gale force that drive the sand and dust from the fields down the street). Temps in the high 70's to low 80's.
It's almost begging us to load the camp gear and head out to anywhere.
We've decided to take advantage of the Memorial Day Week-end and head out to Wall Canyon. A kinda hard to get to place outside of Gerlach,Nevada.

- Wow! Eagle Lake looks like a great place to camp! We'll have to check it out next season (I've already scheduled all my husbands vacation days for this year.). I really like the group sites with the hook-ups. My father-in-law has sleep apnea so he needs a machine to help him breath at night and prefers hook-ups. (Doesn't like depending on the batteries.) Thank you so much for the info! We'll also have to check out Stampede Reservoir. We're always looking for nice places to camp in Tahoe. We stayed by the lake last time we were there and it really didn't live up to our expectations. Have you ever camped at any of the campgrounds in El Dorado National Forest?
