I know what you mean about having a fire. There is just something relaxing about them. lol - you're like me, taking pictures of your feet.
I'm in Bakersfield. Good to know that the water is high and that there are trout!

Kern River 7/9/10 - It was hot enough without the fire but it's not camping without one. Another fantastic trip to Kern. The water was higher than I have seen in over a decade. Plenty of Trout although we didn't fish.
