LOL!!! I'm glad that I could help you with your questions.  Yes...Kmart was the place.  It's one of the best tents that actually lasted w/o ripping somewhere.  My tent still stands tall.  You should check out Big 5.  They always have sales every week.  I've been keeping an eye on a small hiking tent and waiting for the price to drop.

Well, if the economy does go south, I have everything that I need to survive in my tent.  So...I'm so ready to leave the city life and try a way calmer way of life.

Thank you so much for such a speedy reply to my questions!!  I was so surprised that it came from Kmart!  I was expecting to hear that it was from a specialy store.  It's nice to read that your friend can stand in it with no problem.  With the way our economy seems to be going...perhaps tents are going to be a thing of the future.  Better make them as comfy as possible.

I REALLLLLY need to get away from the city of Las Vegas if only for a couple of days.  OH HOW I COULD SCREAM IT FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOPS!!

Hi Maggie,

I believe it's a Northwest tent.  I got it at K-mart that was closing here in town a few years ago.  You can stand in it 3/4 of the way and at the back of the tent I believe is around 5' tall and the front of the tent is arount 7' tall (I think).  My friend who is 5'11" can stand in it with no problem.  This tent can sleep 6-8 w/o air mattress but I have had 4 people on single air mattress's in the past with room to spare.  I usually have just one person with me or by myself and there is plenty of room.  I can literally live in this tent.  I love this tent since the tent has color-coded poles for  each slot (3) of them.  It's easy to set up by yourself but always had help just to get it up and move on to other things.  In front of the tent are easy access zipper to get into the tent if you don't want to go into it.  The yellow patch that you see in front of tent is for easy access for electrical use and has two huge side mesh pockets and a hanging mesh pocket in the center of tent and a clip to hang small battery lanterns.  This tent has three huge windows and the rain fly can be on or off.  The tent comes with a nice bag that I can ALWAYS put the tent in once I roll it up.  Never had trouble with packing the tent or unpacking.  You can check on Amazon.com or Sport Chalet to see if they carry the name brand.  I hope you find this information helpful.

This year I'm retiring my old tent and purchasing a new one.  Can you tell me the manufacturer of yours and a little about it?  The height of the tent is really important to me as well as ease of setting it up alone.  I would really appreciate your thoughts on your tent.
