The dry stalk of mullein is an excellent hand drill for fire making. Mullein is excellent used medicinally for coughs and respiratory ailments. I knew a guy who would inhale the steam of mullein for congestion. He said it worked so well that he had to be careful not to get addicted to it, just like some of the stronger over-the-counter medicines can do. Lots of uses...
