Thank you. the trick is to get there (Mesa Arch, Canyonlands NP in Utah) early enough to be set up before the sun starts to rise. It is an easy walk form the parking area. This shot was taken in November during thanksgiving. Kind of cold, (coat and glove weather). Although I had a tripod this was handheld using a Konica-Minolta Dimage A2 (8 .0 megapixel), exposed so that I could maximize the saturation on the light under the rock.
