So where do you all camp? The two that we go to the most are Camano Island State Park and the Tumwater campground outside of Leavenworth. We've been many other places, but those 2 we usually hit at least once a year.

We've only lived here 2 years now but we fell in love with both Ohanapecosh outside of Rainier and Wallowa Lake in Oregon. This year we're due to try out a few new ones. Lake Cushman Resort, Three Rivers Rv park outside of Forks, and the Field Spring SP Teepee's. I'll post reviews. Happy campin everyone!!!
Oh my gosh, where to start - Fairholm on the Olympic Peninsula, Penrose Point SP, Ike Kinswa SP, Hoh Rainforest, Greyland SP, Chelan is okay either May/June or September, the list goes on and on, I will add to it after this summer, we have 5 camping trips planned. Can't wait to get away from home.
I love camping along Skate Creek at Mt. Rainier. I've camped out at Joemma Beach (formerly known as RFK) and in Port Orchard but wasn't too impressed. We have recently discovered Kalaloch and love it. I would love to do some camping in La Push or Neah Bay. We have fallen in love w/camping along the coast.
Camping along the coast is amazing, especially the northern coastline. If you find yourself in the mid to southern area, try Greyland SP. It fills up fast so reserve early. It is just south of Westport and though there aren't any big rock formations, the area is good for seafood. La Push is really nice. I think the SP there is called Mora or something like that, it fills up fast too. We stayed inland at the Hoh rainforest and we've stayed at Klahowya which is small, but a good location to reach other parts of that area of the State. Go forth and enjoy.

Our favorites are Fort Flagler State Park on Marrowstone Island by Port Townsend, Steamboat Rock State Park on Banks Lake by Electric City (lots of mosquitoes though) and Cape Disappointment State Park in Ilwaco on the coast.
I have to agree w/ Allie, Ohanepecosh is awesome. I also like Walupt Lake (Gifford Pinchot NF), Takhlakh Lake (Gifford Pinchot NF), Silver Falls (Entiat NF) are some good ones.

Ryan.
With my girlfriend living in Oregon and me in Olympia we find that places like Seaquest and Battleground Lake State Parks work well for us. I can head down on Friday morning and set up camp and she can drive up after work Friday evening. It really allows us to make the most out of our time on a weekend.
We are going camping this weekend and would like to find some places to go with our dog. If you could help that would be great. thanks
We go to Belfaire, Deception Pass, Squeim, Tidenaplam(This is a Tacoma Power and Water maintained park but still part of the Washington Sate Park Program) We have friends with land In Port Ludlow that we stay with. We also camp at Millersylvina and Kansket Palmer as well as the Normal ones Like Dash Point and Saltwater park.
Usually we go out behind Randle, between Morton and Packwood. We do alot of our fishing and hunting around there, so know alot of the spots that are not in a campground, as we don't prefer to cam in campgrounds, but there are a few that are there and they are really nice!
Fort Worden state park is Awesome, full hookups, no frills, The lower section has a wonderfull view of the water, short walk to the beach, and lighthouse. It's where Officer and Gentelman was filmed. Old bunkers to explore for the kids. Stayed at a neat little park by Raineer to that had a little confusing golf course too, cant remember the name but was good for killin some time. Sequiam KOA was good for he kids also. Depends on what your looking for? I wish Gold Bar Nature Trails had some public spots. We had memberships there twice, Very nice park.
Though we've done alot of camping... it's been in a trailer othat stayed on my brother property by Mt Rainier...so it probably doesn't count..lol Just bought a pop up tent trailer and just booked four nights at Sun Lakes Park Resort by the dry falls (near Coulee). This will be our first campground camping. Anyone been there?
