Hi again, Historic Oak Ridge is located about 25 miles northwest of Knoxville in Anderson County, Tennessee. For more information about visiting Oak Ridge, visit the Oak Ridge Convention and Visitors Bureau website at www.OakRidgeVisitor.com.

Hi, Frozen Head is a little-known jewel of a state park tucked away in the Cumberland Mountains, a mountain range west of the Smokies. Steep, forested peaks and deep valleys diffused with rock formations. Lots of beautiful country.

Looking for a good spot between Fairfield Glade and Knoxville the first of August.... for one night and some sightseeing. Any good recommendations?

Heading out of Tennessee up to the UP (or very near) in Michigan in about 2 weeks. First extended vacation in three years so I am VERY excited. The hubby is from Michigan so he's excited about showing me his childhood vacation spots. We're going to spend three days at Sleeping Bear Dunes, then the next three days in Wilderness State Park, and play it by ear after that. Woo!

lol I hear ya! Never been to Tennessee but I would love to go someday. I hear the place is beautiful! I love the woods and rock-strewn rivers I've seen in photos. Where do you normally go camping Sammy?
