Sounds great Eric. We have the Ripley Rendezvous coming up in Central MN in June. I have heard anywhere from 5 to 10 thousand Scouts! I have been asked to help with the shooting sports as well. Good stuff!

Coming up called "The C-4 Rendezvous" It is a gathering of BSA Venturing Crews for many activities including : Shooting, Climbing, Etc  I am one of the main Instructors for the shooting sports.  It will be a great weekend in the Coastal Redwoods of Mendocino County, CA.

We just returned from our District camporee. A great weekend of camping and fun.
My oldest boy led his week old patrol to a first place finish in the fire starting challenge and was the only patrol able to complete the task.

My middle boy's patrol took a third in the compass challenge.
The troop took third place in the topknot campsite evaluation.
We had the second largest troop there and is much better than the 2 or 3 boys we used to be able to send.
Way to go boy's.

We just returned from our crossover/ bridging campout last weekend. My middle son joined his older brother in our troop. This was a great event at the Mud Caves in Anza Borrego.

Happy 100 birthday Boy Scouts of America.
Boy Scouts of America On this date in 1910, the BSA was incorporated by publisher W. D. Boyce. Boyce first learned about Scouting when a Scout refused payment for helping him through a fog. He was simply doing a Good Turn. For 100 years, Scouts across America have kept to that example, doing Good Turns daily. Today, we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of this great movement and begin our next 100 years of service.

Adventure Base 100 will be in San Diego this weekend, Jan 8,9,10.
We are going as a troop and probably bringing our cub scout pack as well.

Welcome Jon, I'm from the Sequoia Council, out of Fresno, CA. We live in Coalinga and work with Troop 413 from Hanford. My son has aged out of scouts, but is registered as an Asst. Scoutmaster as am I. I have served in a lot of jobs since my son brought home a flyer about Tiger Cubs.
