Hello New Mexico, well the rains have stated, Yeee Haaa! Hope the fires are done with!!  I would like to invite all of you to view my pictures I just uploaded.  Zeema and I were chosen to represent NM in a upcoming series on HRTV called Americas Favorite Trail Horse.  We will be on the second episode Sept. 20th @ 7:00 PM and would like your support and Vote. Lets show America that NM has thier Favorite Trail Horse!!  If you do not get HRTV (Dish Net. ch 404) you can view it on www.hrtv.com or www.actha.us .  We will be the first of 5 NM horse and rider teams to be featured on the series beginning Sept. 13th.  VOTE FOR ZEEMA SEPT. 20TH, and keep praying for that rain!

susan - what is that?

I have made a decision to help this Navajo woman because she does not help herself but gives it all to the women and children there. Its time someone helped her.

Steve - that's a really cool thing you are doing.  Someday I hope to go to the Hopi rez & maybe help some people.  Once I was there on one of the mesas, and an old woman invited me into her little adobe house there on the mesa.  She wanted me to look at pottery she was selling - a great way to pick up some Hopi or Tewa pottery for cheap, btw.

Anyway, she said something to me about wanting to whitewash her walls.  I offered to do it for her, but she hmmm'ed and hah'd for a bit, and eventually I left, thinking she didn't want me to - but I don't know for sure.

If I had it to do over, I would've just gone into town, got some whitewash, and gone back and done it.  'cept having never whitewashed adobe walls, I wouldn't know what to buy.

Anyone ever whitewashed or painted adobe walls?  I know from having grown up in NM, that there's lots and lots of adobe there.

Can you ride your ranger out there? I have spent some time in Chandler, I go to the dragsa there every once in awhile.

Oh I almost forgot the best part,  the end of March which is also the kids spring break.  The Tempertures are bearable at that time  early 80's.  We went 1 time in June never again.  temps were 110
