Between Aug 21 and sept 21 drove the RV to Michigan, down to Kansas and back across Indiana, through PA into NY back to NH. Had some great CG's at $23 and some so so CGs for $60.  If ever in Michigan go to Dearborn and visit Henry Ford Museum, and if enough energy the Greenville Village.  We only made Ford Museum.  Where did anyone camp this past summer?  Anyone go to Rhode Island.  Can't afford another trip in 2012 so looking for nearby place within 100 miles or so.

Wow, you do get around.  I don't think I've camped in as much as 35 states yet, but I know that I've camped over 2 1/2 years altogether, if you put all my camping days end-to-end.  Would love to camp in New England someday.

Have camped from Dixville Notch to Swanzey to Durham to Gorham and a whole bunch of places in between.  Last new cg we tried was River Meadow in No. Haverhill.  Also camped in over 35 States and hope to add 2 or 3 more this year.

I grew up in NH and camped all over the state for 25-30 years until I moved to Maine. Not as many places in NH to "Get away" compared to when I was young. You'd be surprised how deep into the woods you can go and still see butts and beer cans. What a shame.

Lafayette Campground near the Franconia Notch State Park which is in the North West part of the state near Lincoln, NH. Also, much of the White Mountain National Forest around Mt Washington, however, near the Lincoln Vistors Center at the West end of the Kancamagus Hwy there are some very nice National Forest campsites. There are many trails at all experience levels. The Ellacoya State Park on Lake Winnipesaukee is also a nice camping area.

Thermarest Tech Blanket, Good for Hammock Camping???

The Tech Blanket from Thermarest is a great piece of gear when it comes to hammock camping. The system was meant for the ground but it works great in a hammo...
