Mohawk Trail State Foret near North Adams is a nice place to camp. They do report and warn of Black Bear in that area.

Sandra, Thanks so much for setting up this group! Has anyone out there camped in MA? I've camped at Massasoit SP in Taunton, Harold Parker SP northwest of Boston, Shawmee-Crowell on Cape Cod in Sandwich and DAR SP in Goshen. Loved Massasoit in the Fall, not good in June with the caterpillar invasions. Harold Parker was great, Shamee-Crowell was great once I got used to the coyotes yipping and howling, and DAR was nice if you don't mind black bears in/near your camp. Anyone else camp in MA?
