Found an interesting combination tool for camping -- it's a knife, hammer, trenching tool (small shovel), saw, and hatchet all rolled into one. The Holeb Bushman is definatley a campers knife. I always have a few different knives when I camp. If I have my pants on I have my small lock blade. When I fish I make sure I have a fishing "nail clipper" and filet knife. A fixed blade knife always comes in handy. With so many places not allowing firewood gathering a hatchet or axe seldom comes in handy. A decent fixed blade and a "hammer" object can cut small branches if allowed.
