OK, thanks.  Maybe there's hope yet.

I have a Garmin 60cxs, so can't help you out on this one. I'd just say keep at it. I was very disappointed in my Garmin til I was able to figure it out. Took some time (still learning 3 years later!)

I'm so frustrated.  I bought a decent Magellan Triton and can't seem to get it to work right.  For one thing, I can't download all the maps I've bought for it.

Can anyone please help?

The MN State Parks have had a Wild Safari Critter Geocache program going on for a little over a year and two of my sisters and I decided to add some critter cards to our collection. We went into northern MN, almost as north as you can go without going into Canada, went to five state parks and found the caches. It was a fun trip.

I'm a newbie to this site, but my husband and I have a mission to geocache at all 72 Minnesota State Parks. We've already got reservations at 20 state parks so we can get closer to completing our goal.

I just got into geocaching a few weeks ago. I bought a Garmin GPSmap 76CSx. It works great. I found 7 caches my first day. I will be going to TX to hike to it high point. Made a challenge to myself to visit all 50 states and those high points at each. I hope there is a cache at each. Anyone coming to Orlando, FL and want to do some cacheing let me know. I would love to meet others involved in this sport.

I started geocaching a few years ago with my daughter. We did most of the Mn State Park History Challenge. Even made it to Garden Island, awesome trip! This year we've done some of the State Park Critter challenge and a lot of private caches. I love it. But now I'm on my own as my daughter has a family of her own. There is no bad time to go caching!

I got hooked on geocaching a couple of years ago, my sister and brother-in-law took me out, one time, when we were camping and I loved it. My husband and I went out and got a gps. This year, we have been to three state parks here in Minnesota and they have a Safari geocache going on, sponsored by the State Park service. In one of the parks, a person can use a park gps and go. My brother did that and now he has his own gps. I feel that not only is it fun, but gives me a goal when I go out walking. The MN State Park service also sponsored a geocache last year honoring their anniversary and I did some of those. It is addicting!

We, too, have been caching for about 4 or 5 years! Our 10 year old has become quite good at it! I just got a new gps for Christmas, so he inherited my old one. We always create a list for travel to and from where we're camping (especially if we take different routes to and from) and pre-load our gps units with caches around where we are camping. That way, when we get a chance to cache, we go for it; if we don't get the chance, we hit some on our way home. We haven't created our own travel bugs, yet, but have been thinking about it for some time. We don't usually pick up travel bugs unless it's one of our first finds on a day devoted to caching. That way, we don't end up accidentally holding onto it for too long. We're the RamblinManiacs out of the Eastern Sierra area.

Thermarest Tech Blanket, Good for Hammock Camping???

The Tech Blanket from Thermarest is a great piece of gear when it comes to hammock camping. The system was meant for the ground but it works great in a hammo...
