Permalink Reply by Judith A Pink on July 21, 2010 at 1:46pm Yes, we liked Hume lake, which DOES take reservations, although it is technically on National Forest land and not park land. The best non-reservation campground is Azalea, IMO. Also, on national forest land, you are permitted to find a pullout and camp off the road.

Permalink Reply by Judith A Pink on August 3, 2010 at 5:42pm You could go to any of the camp ground near the Cedar Grove area Sentinel, Canyon View, Moraine and Sheep Creek They are first come first serve but there are always open spaces Cedar Grove has a store with showers and washers and dryers. I perfer to stay in sentinal Campground was just there the first part of July for 3 days.

Permalink Reply by Judith A Pink on August 4, 2010 at 1:18pm I don't think ,so I have been going there for the last three years and really enjoy the area. Lots of trees near the water lots areas to day hike. Clean restrooms. What do you mean by not good camping?
