For some time now, I've wanted to go to Red Rock Canyon State Park just north of Mojave, CA.  Well, it looks like I'm finally going to get the chance later this month... Lord willing and the creek don't rise, as my grandmother used to say.

It's supposed to have some beautiful red rock formations and twisting canyons, but I don't know much about it other than what I've read.

Wow, this is a very quiet site!  I just realized that I haven't posted here since early October! Yikes!  We had our 9 week trip which included the northern states West to Oregon, Daughter's wedding, south on N CA coast and then  east to Reno, south to Arizona, east to Branson, MO and then home.  What a ride it was.  The plan is to leave again in early May and head to Arizona for a month to see our new little grandson who will be here the end of April.   Our little home is covered and…

So our dates for our trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons are confirmed.  We have 10 days in Yellowstone and 7 days in the Tetons.  I added a couple of days stay to the The Tetons because I decided we'd drive down to Jackson Hole for a day trip instead of making reservations in town.  I hope that was the right decision.  I'm still torn.  The kids are 3 & 5, well my son will be 4 and my daughter will turn 6 on the trip.  I was checking out the…
